PROJECT MANAGER FULL TIME, EXEMPT HYBRID Role ABOUT US: At REDCOM, our mission is to enable the most critical conversations in the world by developing highly interoperable, flexible, and easy-to-use communications solutions. We're looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented individual to organize and drive all resources for successful delivery of complex cross-disciplinary software and hardware product development projects. OPPORTUNITY AT A GLANCE: In this position, you'll take on the responsibility of driving complex projects forward for REDCOM. Primary responsibilities will include taking ownership of projects, deadlines, and resources required to ensuring successful, timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate is a driver who works well with various teams and can collaborate with both executives and technical staff to understand the requirements of all stakeholders within each project. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to continue to grow and learn about the government and defense markets will be essential to this individual's success in the role. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Drive cross-disciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes
  • Work with stakeholders to clearly identify and continuously manage project scope, requirements, dependencies, and deliverables
  • Collaborate with technical staff to develop cost, resource, activity scheduling, and delivery estimates.
  • Apply current industry standard project management techniques to achieve on-time delivery of strategic business needs within budget
  • Work closely with product owners, software and hardware engineers, product validation, manufacturing, and various subject matter experts to ensure completeness and quality of deliverables
  • Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Monitoring, Tracking, and Reporting of status. Proactively communicate technical, budget, and schedule progress and risks to project stakeholders and executive management. Escalate when necessary
  • Facilitate the development of appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and project issues quickly and efficiently
  • Continuous Improvement of project and operational outcomes
  • Facilitate product commercialization efforts to ensure we are ready for marketing, quoting, sale, and customer delivery of released products
  • Other tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO FULFILL THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree (Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or other related field preferred) or an associate's degree plus PMP certification
  • 3+ years practical experience as a project manager delivering software and/ or hardware products.
  • Development and management of executable project schedules in tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or other comparable application. Utilization of tools for scenario impact analysis and reporting
  • Ability to create structure from ambiguous data into the defined framework
  • Polished verbal, written, and visual communicator with the ability to distill relevant information for the appropriate audience
  • Working knowledge of various software and hardware development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban) and product lifecycle
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, subject matter experts, and project team members
  • Ability to understand complex product development challenges and issues, collaborate, and escalate as appropriate in a timely manner
  • Ability to help teams define clear deliverables
  • Exceptional personal organization, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to explain PMO methods and procedures
  • Self-driven individual with business and organizational acumen, strong collaboration, and relationship building skills, and passion to execute to create impact
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop and implement new processes
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ARE PREFERRED TO FULFILL THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred with a bachelor's degree and related experience
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Hybrid work environment (work-at-home and in-office)
  • This position may require occasional extended work hours to meet project/release goals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The employee must be able to work on a computer workstation for extended periods of time requiring the ability to hear, have visual acuity, and have manual dexterity

The wage range for this role considers the range of qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; education and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Project Manager: Hiring Range $73,850 - $96,000 Hiring range considerations for this position include REDCOM's ability to consider a base range of up to $110,000 for a candidate with a bachelor's degree (Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or other related field preferred), current PMP certification and significant software and hardware engineering project management experience.
