Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Business Analyst I, Ambulatory Capacity Management

Exciting new position at MSK! As a Business Analyst I on the Ambulatory Capacity Management team, you will work closely with clinical departments to improve patient access and clinic scheduling experience.

Role Overview:

    Partners with key stakeholders across MSK to create positive working relationships, including, but not limited to Clinical Departments, PAS, Nexus, Practice Plan, and others.
  • Collaborates in the design, creation, and building of scheduling templates. This includes evaluating different scheduling functionality to enhance template design to improve throughput and/or access.
  • Responsible for the initial build and maintenance of physician & APP templates within Epic in accordance with organizational and departmental guiding principles. Overtime, this may expand to other Epic build functionality.
  • As needed, tests/audits provider templates and monitors for accuracy.
  • Communicates proactively to key stakeholders, including when templates are built, tested, and request has been completed.
  • Partners with the Capacity Management leaders & team to develop and train staff on existing Epic functionalities and any changes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience working with administrative healthcare and clinical data
  • Experience analyzing workflows processes using process improvement tools or direct experience managing IT systems
  • Experience facilitating and coordinating meetings with various diverse functional groups and stakeholders in person and virtual

Core Skills:

  • Technical aptitude alongside strong listening skills to fully understand and obtain the knowledge required to effectively collaborate with clinical departments and Nexus/Epic teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively at all levels of complex organization including multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet department objectives and deadlines

Additional Information:

  • Schedule: 9:00 AM EST - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday (additional support needed Jan 11 & 12)
  • Location: Hybrid; 633 Third Ave, New York, NY
  • Reporting to: Associate Director, Outpatient Operations

Pay Range: $88,800.00-$142,200.00
