THE JOB:As a Bartender at New York New York, you'll focus on providing exceptional guest experience while composing various beverages, securing payments, and maintaining a sanitary and presentable bar. You will also work at various bars around the property.. STARTING RATE: $17.0864 hourly, plus tips
THE DAY-TO-DAY:- Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
- Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar
- Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
- Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all payment handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
- Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:- Work Schedule: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
- Work Experience: Prior experience in a high-volume environment as a bartender
- Liquor and Alcohol Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various liquors, spirits, wines, and cocktails, with the ability to recommend and serve beverages that enhance the guest experience.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service background, with the ability to create personalized experiences and address guest needs promptly and professionally.
