JOB PURPOSE:
- Manages and coordinates the implementation of corporate sales and marketing objectives for assigned agency office(s) of Georgia Farm Bureau.
- Assures that agency quality service is maintained and that working relationships with the home office and counties are positive and productive.
- Responsible for the recruiting, training, development, and performance management of agents and customer service representatives.
- Provides resources to customers to help them choose policies that fit their needs.
- Fluent in all major lines and services needed by their customers such as farm, homeowner, auto, life insurance, and banking products.
- Involved with prospecting and seeking new customers and memberships.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Manages all sales and marketing activities for assigned agency office(s) in support of reaching all corporate sales, profit, and manpower objectives.
- Coordinates agent and CSR recruiting and training programs with District Sales Managers, Human Resources, and home office training staff.
- Serves as the local representative in the county by promoting and maintaining strong and positive community relationships.
- Provides leadership to agents and CSR's to support and enhance the development of their professional skills.
- Provides leadership in maintaining positive and effective working relationships between county offices and the home office.
- Handles counseling and disciplinary actions for all agents and CSR's in assigned agency office(s) to include involuntary terminations.
- Promotes compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
- Participates in the formulation of agency office sales objectives.
- Completes reports on various activities and assures consistent, thorough and timely reporting and documentation on an agency level.
- Coordinates and conducts regularly scheduled agency meetings to inform, train, and encourage assigned staff to meet corporate, district, and agency objectives.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A college degree or equivalent industry experience required. Must have 2 years of multi-line experience (Georgia Farm Bureau experience preferred).
- Must hold a valid Georgia insurance license in Property/Casualty and Life/Health, as well as a valid Georgia driver's license.
- Professional designations such as CLU or ChFC preferred.
- Must have demonstrated performance success and evidence of managerial aptitude.
- Successful participation in Georgia Farm Bureau development plan for prospective Agency Managers.
- Must possess an in-depth knowledge of the types of products and services offered by Georgia Farm Bureau.
- Must be able to work and communicate with home office, district management, agency staff, and County Farm Bureau to ensure that positive relationships are maintained.
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals, and other documents as required. Excellent telephone, public relations, and oral/written communication skills are required.
- Must possess basic skills with computer and internet.
