The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible to manage the flow of inventory and product from suppliers to the customer and proactively communicate with the appropriate teams within Evenflo. In addition, the Logistics Analyst is responsible for assisting in negotiating the terms of contracts and rates with carriers, brokers, and other business partners. Ensuring that all internal and external customer requirements are being met at a high standard.Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily activity of inbound and outbound shipments (ocean, air, intermodal, and/or truck) Report exceptions as necessary.
- Communicate with carriers, internal warehouse, planners and manufacturing personnel to ensure that customer expectations are being met
- Execute daily shipping schedule through the utilization of selected carriers, warehouse locations and processes to achieve cost objectives and service commitments
- Coordinate the shipping activity of Evenflo's container trans-load facility to efficiently process and prioritize product transfers in support of manufacturing schedules
- Interact with custom brokers and confirm that inbound internal shipments have been cleared and are off-loaded and delivered.
- Responsible cross - border shipments and compliance requirements
- Review and update NAFTA certificates
- Work with all Evenflo functional groups to handle special transportation requests and/ or analysis
- Update ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 System
- Communicate with Distribution sites internally and externally
- Manage large amounts of data with a high level of accuracy
Required Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Logistics and/ or Supply Chain2 to 3 years of experience requiredRequired Technical Competencies
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel), Internet based tracking systems
- Experience with ERP system
- Negotiation skills
- Project Management skills
- Understanding of NAFTA and Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS)
- Knowledge of 2020 INCO Terms
Desired Technical Competencies
- Familiar with compliance requirements: DOT, IATA, FMC and NMFC, US Customs
