BASIC FUNCTION: The Divisional Director, ORS is responsible for the management and direction of the clinical department and functions collaboratively with the Nurse Supervisors and Medical Directors to plan, implement and evaluate treatment approaches.

The Divisional Director, of ORS, will be able to manage multiple clinical and operational priorities. Will have exceptional interpersonal skills and cultivate positive and productive relationships with clients and staff. The individual will be a positive problem-solver and incorporates new treatment approaches.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Supervises all clinical and administrative functions of the MTP Departments.

Actively and consistently conducts him/herself as a professional role-model.

Actively works to enhance the morale of all staff.

Actively creates an atmosphere that supports the professional development of staff of all disciplines.

Identifies with and supports LESC as a whole - not only with the programs for which they are directly responsible.

Maintains collegial and collaborative relationships with those in other agency programs and departments.

Guides the diagnostic processes, clinical analyses and development of treatment plans.

Monitors casework record keeping according to established guidelines.

Writes staff evaluations, recommends promotions, raises, terminations, etc.

Responsible for the quality of therapeutic care rendered in the departments, making sure a therapeutic atmosphere prevails which is conducive to patient rehabilitation and staff morale.

Develops programs to manage crises, violence or other acting-out behaviors.

Collaborates with the Medical Director.

Conducts on-going evaluation of department functions to assure delivery of quality service to patients and to insure that treatment plans are administered, and makes recommendations for changes as appropriate.

Implements the policies of the appropriate regulatory agencies.

Integrates plans and activities with other departments.

Chairs staff meetings with TB Prevention program staff.

Implements and oversees the integration of TB Prevention program plans and activities with CTRPN/Primary Care and other departments as needed.

Assists staff in developing their professional abilities through group and case conferences.

Conducts ongoing training programs for staff.

Fills in for other staff out on leave as needed.

Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

SCHEDULE: Full Time

RATE: $109,000 - $113,000 / year dependent on experience

LOCATION: NY, NY 10002

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have excellent clinical, administrative, organizational, technological, written, and oral communication skills.
  • LCSW with success in leading a multidisciplinary team in a behavioral health setting
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical supervision experience required.
