The logistic associate is responsible for maintaining and organizing the shipping and receiving areas and maintaining accurate data and record of inventory movement. Performs various duties including receiving, stocking, staging, loading and shipping goods and finished goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Follow the company policies and procedures for picking, packing and shipping domestic and international shipments.
  • Ensure all shipment counts and items are accurate, and are packaged to arrive at the end user in a safe usable condition.
  • Claim accountability for high levels of customer service.
  • Prepare shipping documents, which may include bills of lading, international commercial invoices, NAFTA, and SED documents.
  • Accurately record inventory movements, and storage locations for finished goods.
  • Report inventory shortages and overages to supervisor and complete inventory counts as required.
  • Provide back up for all shipping areas, receiving, manufacturing/production if needed and warehouse/storage areas.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and report questionable conditions to department supervisor.
  • Apply, recommend, and follow Lean practices.
  • CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with workforce.
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Ability to effectively manage time.
  • Ability to accurately complete arithmetic computations.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment listed - forklift, pallet jack, calculator, copier.
  • EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE CREDENTIALS:

  • High school graduate or a GED equivalent from an accredited institution, preferred.
  • Preferred 1-year experience in related field or manufacturing.
  • Experience in shipping and materials control procedures, preferred.
  • Pay:

    $16.50-20.00 per hour

    Lifting requirements include but are not limited to the following:

    Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

    Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

    Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
