Position SummaryThe Quality Control Lab Technician will be responsible for testing and measuring raw materials, finished goods, and in process quality.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES- Receiving, labeling, and storing samples to be tested
- Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
- Recording tests and analyses and maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
- Maintain lab supplies and equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
- General housekeeping of the lab to include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning work area and taking out the trash.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
- One to two years of experience working in a plastics manufacturing preferred.
- Able to use computer systems, Windows operating systems experience preferred
- English language communication both spoken and written.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- Able to work with fractions and decimals, MM and inches.
- Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
- Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Able to walk, stand, sit for extended periods.
- Able to able to handle extreme heat/cool weather operations.
- Available for flexible working hours/rotating shifts/overtime if needed.
- Able to work in a diverse, team-oriented environment yet still be able to think independently.
