QC Lab Technician – Rochester, NY (Onsite)

The QC Lab Technician supports quality control efforts and performs analytical tests in accordance with approved methods in a Quality Control environment adhering to strict GMP guidelines. Generates data after following approved test methods and records/reports results as required, making sure to follow Part 11 and data integrity policies. Performs tasks and works on other projects as directed by area managers. This opportunity is located at our Rochester, NY plant and requires you to work onsite.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Test wastewater impurities, in-process, and final products for Personal Care and Active Pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • Prioritizes tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance on lab equipment and performs sample and process calculations as required.
  • Troubleshoots minor method issues.
  • Conducts routine laboratory tests following established procedures.
  • Prepares chemical reagents and standard solutions.
  • Provides training to other technicians as needed.
  • Assists with Microbiology data reviews.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate degree in chemistry or equivalent in a science discipline, Bachelor of Science degree, preferred.
  • 1-4 years of analytical industry lab experience.
  • 1-4 years of experience working in a chemical plant operation.
  • Embraces new initiatives, driving successful implementation in his/her area.
  • Adapts thinking and behavior to support change.
  • Takes personal responsibility for promoting change in his/her area.
  • Understands how to effectively engage others in the change processes.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of GMP regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible in prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Available for 12-hour shifts, including overnight, weekends, and overtime.

The Rochester Facility operates 24/7, every day of the year. Our shift schedule is as follows:

· Day Shift: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

· Night Shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Each shift is 12 hours long and includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, and two 15-minute paid breaks.

Pay Details:

· Night Shift: +$1 differential

· Sat into Sunday shift: Double pay

· Holiday: Triple pay

The expected salary range for this role is $20.64 - $25.48; specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location, and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.

This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
