Job Description :

Position Summary

Responsible for identifying suppliers, generating purchase orders and verifying delivered items.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily with suppliers and vendors to track the status of open orders and shipments.
  • Monitor supplier performance based on KPIs and resolve any discrepancies or questions.
  • Work closely with the Shipping & Receiving department to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials and parts, including those from outside services.
  • Fulfill shop needs by ordering materials, maintenance supplies, and tooling based on job requirements.
  • Issue materials to jobs running in the shop
  • Quote and manage outside service needs, ensuring coordination between vendors, the Quality department, sales, and Engineering.
  • Update manufacturing on the status of incoming materials and follow up on delivery timelines.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and capable of handling multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Strong research, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • A positive personality committed to leading, helping, and supporting others on the team.
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency and be self-motivated.
