POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sales Merchandiser/Field Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving sales and enhancing the visibility of our products in various retail environments. In addition, they will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and drive sales in your assigned retail locations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential customers and brokers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products to effectively communicate their value propositions to customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the sales team to ensure adequate stock availability and timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular store visits to access product availability, monitor competitor activity, and gather feedback from store personnel.
  • Analyze sales data and consumer trends to identify opportunities for product assortment optimization and promotional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop promotional materials and support marketing campaigns at the point of sale.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college.

SKILLS AND REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish), a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales, merchandising, or retail management, with a focus on consumer-packaged goods, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with retail partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with retail analytics tools.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATONS:

  • Creative thinking and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently and work occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
