This is a part-time position that requires weekend availability and focuses on guiding guests through wine tastings, educating them about our wines and winery, and encouraging wine sales and club sign-ups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Experience: Greet all visitors warmly, offering them a world-class wine tasting experience that educates and delights.
  • Wine Education: Inform guests about the specific characteristics, production methods, and history of each wine.
  • Sales: Promote and sell wines, wine club memberships, and winery merchandise, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Wine Presentation: Properly open, serve, and discuss wines with guests. Ensure the tasting room, glassware, and presentation tools are clean and well-presented.
  • Tasting Room Maintenance: Keep the tasting room tidy and well-stocked. This includes cleaning and setting up/breaking down the tasting areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the entire winery team, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistent guest experiences.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the winery's current offerings, events, and promotions, as well as general industry trends.
  • Qualifications:
  • Previous wine tasting room and sales experience strongly recommended.
  • Passion for and knowledge of wines, with a willingness to continuously learn.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (e.g., cases of wine).
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Benefits:
  • Base hourly wage $17.00-$18.00, depending on experience, plus sales commission and tips. On average, we see most tasting room associates make between $30-45/hr. once tips and sales commission are factored in. That number can be even higher with great sales and service.
