Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring types within our facility. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing.
- Operate floor cleaning machines, such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums, safely and efficiently.
- Apply appropriate cleaning solutions and chemicals according to safety standards and manufacturer instructions.
- Conduct routine inspections of flooring to identify areas needing repair or maintenance.
- Address spills and stains promptly to prevent damage and maintain safety.
- Collaborate with the facilities team to schedule and execute deep cleaning tasks.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in floor maintenance is REQUIRED
- Familiarity with different types of flooring and appropriate cleaning techniques.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling.
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION - NOT ON A BUS ROUTE
