Job Type Full-timeDescriptionCompany Profile:Precision Hydro is a purveyor of water well and pump system turn-key services, providing customers with custom engineered solutions from the California Bay Area to Los Angeles County.Location:Paso Robles, CA Job Summary:The Pump Rig Operator is responsible for the execution of the job in both a safe and efficient manner. The role requires experience operating and troubleshooting all equipment and machinery with direction from Production Manager. The role involves work at the job site, possibly in remote locations requiring travel. Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Operates and troubleshoots all job equipment and machinery in safe and efficient manner.
  • Lifts, removes, and installs production (well) equipment as required. Including submersible, vertical turbine, booster pumps, discharge pipping, gearheads, and electrical panels
  • Works with Production Manager to ensure job completes on-time, on-budget, and safely.
  • Informs Production Manager of any potential delay or safety issues.
  • Assists with rig transportation to job site, setting up, taking down and transportation to next assignment.
  • Responsible for keeping jobsite, equipment, machinery, and tools organized and clean.
  • Responsible for Rig Hand(s) and others allocated to job assignment.
  • Provides daily, detailed, job information to Production Manager including, but not limited to photos, description of work completed, and accurate timecard information.
  • Competent with ipad, electronic forms and reporting
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, annual maintenance and inspections of equipment and machinery. Communicates equipment and machinery required work orders to the Production Manager.
  • Responsible for practicing the company's safety policies. Immediately informs Production Manager of any jobsite injury and coordinates appropriate actions.
  • Uses company issued equipment solely for company business and follows procedures and policies regarding their use.
Working Hours:
  • Up to 12-hour shifts
  • Monday - Friday (occasional weekend work required)
Compensation:
  • $28-38 per hour; full-time position.

RequirementsQualifications:
  • Ability to operate pump rigs and equipment
  • Advanced well pump knowledge including permanent pump installation (turbine and submersible), well rehab, destruction
  • Basic mechanical & welding knowledge.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs throughout a 12 hour shift
  • Ability to kneel, bend, squat, and move around on uneven work surfaces and platforms
  • Zero tolerance drug policy environment for equipment safety reasons
  • Must be available to work up to 12-hour days / nights and weekends when needed
  • Local to company location, or willing to relocate
  • Willing to travel up to 300-mile radius from Paso Robles to jobsites
  • Valid CA commercial drivers license (A or B)
  • Minimum 2 years operating experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment, positive attitude, willing to learn
