The Worker 1, Facilities Custodial Inventory, Supplies, and Laundry (Part-Time) (Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-9:00pm Friday 2:30pm-8:00pm), under immediate supervision of the Facilities Custodial Manager is an important position to the college because all duties performed are visible and contribute greatly to the environment and overall appeal at each campus and in each building. This position knows fundamental concepts of events setup to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for the events at all campuses and sites operated by Salt Lake Community College.
This position will ensure that all SLCC, Facilities, Events setup and Custodial required training is completed and maintained to provide the consistent, reliable, and timely facilities support to the College by the Event setup team.
This position has a regular schedule but requires flexibility and must be available to work on call for snow removal, events setup and other building clean up emergencies, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
* Assists in Developing and maintaining electronic SDS catalogs to meet OSHA and state regulations.
* Assist in the inventory, planning, ordering, receiving, processing paperwork, distributing, delivering, organizing, tracking, labeling, and standardizing all department supplies, at all campuses.
* Assist in Collaborating with the Facilities Managers, Coordinators, and Supervisor to review supply needs, plans, orders, and deliveries.
* Maintains approved list of supplies for each building.
* Assist in ordering all department supplies using College's supply purchasing system (SLCCBuy) to place orders and process associated paperwork completely.
* Removes any excess or unauthorized supplies.
* Maintains cleanliness & organization of warehouse.
* Directs part-time employees as needed in inventory, distribution, and standardization of supply storage areas.
* Follows pre-determined supply and budget restrictions.
* Assist in developing and implementing programs to encourage proper use of department supplies.
* Effectively plan, organize, implement, manage, and track, all department daily needs, deliveries, and storage management on all campuses.
* Assist in collaborating effectively with vendors, receiving staff, managers, coordinators, supervisors, and auxiliary staff with all trainings.
* Able to operate equipment as needed to perform essential job duties including but not limited to Trucks, lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, etc.
* Complete and maintain all SLCC, Facilities, Events setup, and custodial required training.
* Assist with work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Sprocket)
* Clean and organize Custodial storage areas
* Maintain effective event setup processes and programs
* Snow removal: 'snow and ice removal around entranceways and steps of buildings; maintain all sidewalks at entranceways so that snow and/or ice at said locations will not cause closing of the College

Minimum Qualifications
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
* High School Diploma and 1 year of related full-time experience.
* Any combination of the above using substitutions.

Must have a valid UT Driver License.

* Ability to position oneself to stock, organize, and maintain custodial supply closet and warehouse.
* Ability to safely use a ladder on a regular basis.
* Basic knowledge of event setup and custodial equipment maintenance and tool usage.
* Ability to collect and analyze inventory data.
* Ability to provide insightful and helpful reports to adjust ordering, usage, and supply distribution.
* Ability to operate different types of custodial and moving equipment.
* Advanced knowledge of all cleaning chemicals and their proper use.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
* Ability to lift and move bags of laundry from locations to washer and dryer.
* Ability to sit for long periods of time and fold laundry.
* Must be willing to respond to campus emergencies during off-hours as necessary.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
* Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties
* Assist Event setup crew as needed
* Perform minor custodial duties such as, maintaining the inside and outside of all facilities as needed
