Job Description Role: Coordination of maintenance and operations activities on the 34 Paper Machine. Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the specific work that gets planned and scheduled to ensure equipment reliability and when work gets scheduled to ensure process reliability.
- Daily review of new work notifications including understanding the scope, screening for quality and need, setting priorities, and placing the proper code in SAP.
- Lead daily and weekly scheduling meeting to review work completed previous day/week, work being done and finalize the next work day/week.
- Review the backlog and keep within manageable limits
- Lead the T-minus process for routine downtime
- Manage departmental budget using the checkbook process.
- Support the Area Manager in developing the annual maintenance budget
- Post daily schedule for Operators each day to ensure communication of work to be accomplished and that required equipment is shut-down and cleaned up prior to maintenance work starting
- Ensure RCFA action items are prioritized based on the Reliability Red Team recommendations
- Ensure Safety work orders are reviewed and prioritized to improve safety
- Provide feedback to originators if work will not be done or if a work request needs to be written better
- Ability to audit key safety procedures
- Ability to work with the whole team to have one prioritized list for planning and scheduling.
- Be part of the weekend manager rotation
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Paper Mill Operations
- Four year engineering degree required or equivalent experience.
- High level of interpersonal skills (i.e., honesty, communication, leadership, decision making, conflict resolution, maintaining relationships)
- Understanding of planning and scheduling techniques
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Proven commitment to all mill safety policies and procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with the following systems:
- Manufacturing Work System (the process with which maintenance work gets done)
- SAP (work order and req. writing and management)
- RCFA tracking system
- Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint
- Microsoft Project
