For more information about Parkwood Behavioral Health System, please visit our website at Director of Clinical Services Full-time We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Clinical Services. The Director of Clinical Services assumes responsibility for the functioning of the Clinical Services Department, both inpatient and outpatient, and the quality of social services provided through policies, procedures, PI, and the supervision of licensed and non-licensed clinical therapists. Develops and serves as a liaison with social work graduate program. Serves as clinical liaison with the continuum of care services. Contributes to the development of programs for specialized patient populations for inpatient and the continuum of care. In conjunction with community resources, contributes to the maintenance of relationships with outside agencies, private practitioners, insurers and family members. Participates in county and regional meetings of the public mental health providers. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's specific needs and provide clinical treatment and care. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment, providing care to varied populations including male and female adults and dually diagnosed patients. Education: Master's Degree required in Social Science. Experience: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience and 2 years of management experience with case management and the utilization review process including concurrent reviews. Previous supervisory experience with inpatient and outpatient clinical therapists. Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience of non-licensed clinical therapists is required. Affiliation with graduate school clinical students preferred. Previous continuum of care experience highly preferred. Licensure/Certification: MS LCSW or MS LPC required. CPR Certification required. Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
