About Our Opportunity We are seeking a 2nd shift Warehouse Manager to work in the Blairs location. The 2nd shift Warehouse Manager will effectively manage and assume full responsibility for the Fulfillment and Outbound daily objectives on the 2nd shift. Serves as the Manager on duty for all departments on 2nd shift. Responsibilities
      • Ensures seamless transition between shifts daily.
      • Prepares and disseminates accurate and timely daily attendance and shift reports.
      • Successfully carries out daily objectives as set forth by leadership.
      • Creates, monitors, and reports departmental metrics.
      • Ensures Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, procedures, and programs are adhered to.
      • Coordinates the timely fulfillment and shipment of all customer orders and projects.
      • Partners with internal and external teams to plan projects.
      • Ensures optimal staffing and resource allocation amongst departments to ensure efficient workflow.
      • Audits work areas daily for accuracies and product flow
      • Consults with the Maintenance Department to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
      • Interacts with all areas of the Distribution and Manufacturing Departments to understand issues and assess needs to improve consistency and integrity of processes.
      • Utilizes and reviews inventory from JDE and WMS systems to fulfill requirements for maintaining orders.
      • Monitors, analyzes, and provides feedback on performance as well as in-house processes to improve customer service and profitability.
      • Monitors, analyzes, and communicates trends.
      • Responsibilities include daily management and supervision of the departmental workforce including providing direction, setting deadlines, and resolving problems.
      • Administers corrective action according to company guidelines.
      • Works with Human Resources to interview, select, and train employees to fill vacant positions.
      • Annually prepares performance evaluations for departmental staff.
      • Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Stays current with developments within the shipping and distribution field and shares expertise with others.
      • Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
      • Demonstrate a commitment to company-wide quality and safety goals and initiatives.
      • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues and individuals outside the company in order to meet departmental goals.
  • Strong overall management skills are essential that include problem solving, production analysis, work process analysis, business statistics, advanced math skills, and personnel management.
  • Ability to effectively assess departmental needs and develop short and long-term strategic plans to address those needs.
  • Strong analytical skills with a methodological approach to problem solving and implementation. Extreme attention to detail.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret related documents.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fulfillment and Outbound functions and requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of WMS and Visastore
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage groups through project implementation.
  • Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
  • Advanced Degree and import experience preferred.
  • Five to seven years of management experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use repetitive hand motions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to reach overhead, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds.
