DUTIES: Under the direct supervision of unit Registered Nurse Staff, selected candidate will assist with the routine care of assigned patients. Typical duties may include but not be limited to:
- Bathing patients
- Changing patients' bed sheets, and pillows, and turning or repositioning patients in their beds
- Helping patients dress or use the bathroom
- Listening to patients' health concerns, recording them, and reporting them to a nurse or physician
- Serving meals to patients and helping them eat
- Performing EKG
- Measuring patients' vitals, such as temperature and blood pressure
Requirements - Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate or Certified Patient Care Assistant certification AND
- Current/recent experience performing Phlebotomy and 12-Lead EKG testing.
- Prior experience working as a Patient Care Associate or Patient Care Technician preferred
- BLS certificate from American Heart Association
- High School Diploma or GED certificate.
- Basic computer skills
