Overview:
Cook III
The incumbent in this position is responsible for preparing all cold foods, i.e., hors d'oeuvres, special banquets, sandwich spreads, salads and salad dressings.
Responsibilities:1. Prepare all foods as assigned.
2. Maintain clean and well organized workstation.
3. Keep foods stocked and rotated.
4. Assist and trains new kitchen prep personnel.
5. Responsible for maintaining par levels of food items as assigned.
6. Assist in record keeping of foods issued.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:
Understanding of proper food storage, handling and preparation. Knife handling skills. Understanding of preparation of dressings and salads. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a culinary degree or recognized apprenticeship, and/or one year experience in cold food preparation.
