Overview:
The AP Assistant plays a key supporting role in facilitating all aspects of vendor relations including creating and maintaining exceptional relationships with both department purchasers and vendors to ensure smooth operations. This is a fast-paced position and requires a strong ability to multi-task. This position will help the accounting office staff with projects as time allows.
Responsibilities:
- Processing invoices and credits memos
- Creating purchase orders
- Reconciling statements
- Researching complex statements
- Issuing and mailing payments
- Completing vendor applications
- Receive and distribute AP mail (including email)
- Maintain a professional, organized working environment and attitude
- AR, Payroll or Cash Office help, as required
- Other duties as assigned by the AP Manager
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail
- Detail oriented with strong mathematical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet expected deadlines
- Knowledge of BSR operations a plus, but not required
- Data entry experience is preferred
