DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY The Service Technician is a customer-based position that requires a self-directed individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites and communicate directly with customers. A high level of customer service, in-depth project knowledge and experience, and industry-specific technical expertise are necessary for this role. This position involves a high level of travel that may come on little notice, impacting the regular work schedule.   • Observe and follow all ClimateCraft and job site health and safety rules
  • Identification, ordering, and delivery of warranty and service parts and labor
  • Travel to customer job sites to perform warranty and service activities, including support of ClimateCraft and contractor operations
  • Use the ClimateCraft Service Request system to document and track customer service activities
  • Issue quotations and process parts and service orders
  • Participate in the investigation, solution development, and implementation of corrective actions for internal and external problems
  • Communicate with customers and vendors in written and verbal form
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: No? Although this position does not have supervisory responsibilities for other ClimateCraft employees, it must oversee job site crews as required. Skills & Abilities Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree preferred
Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in the HVAC service industry. Custom air handling experience preferred
Computer Skills:
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Certificates & Licenses:
  • Valid Driver's License
Other Requirements:
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work
  • Willingness to travel frequently for long periods and on short notice
  • Willingness to work on weekends if required
  • Willingness to work day shift, 2nd shift, or if needed, night shift.
  • Ability to work independently at the job site
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to record and efficiently document information
