The Financial Reporting Accountant helps support our core values and company mission by maintaining financial records and ensuring daily activity runs accurately and effectively.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
* Accomplish daily account reconciliations and monitoring in a timely manner.
* Process and prepare financial data for journal entries.
* Assist with regular bank reconciliations.
* Collaborate with team members to help provide and prepare information for reports in a timely manner.
* Provide support with internal and external audits and SOX reviews.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
* Positive, can-do attitude, enjoys working with a team to accomplish complex projects with challenging deadlines.
* High drive for accuracy and attention to detail.
* Superior communication (written & verbal), interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft applications.
* General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures.
* Associate degree or equivalent work experience required - Accounting.
Selected candidates will be required to complete a pre-interview assessment.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
* Prior experience in regulated utility industry operations.
* Reading comprehension skills strong enough to read and interpret financial documents.
