- Assists pharmacists in accurately filling prescriptions and preparing medication for dispensing.
- Performs designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications, including sterile admixtures.
- Performs designated tasks regarding pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control and preparation of orders for drugs.
- Provides excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and compassion.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma (approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician program) Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques Must be able to work effectively with others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good organizational and time-management skills Dependable in attendance and job performanceWork Environment: Primarily office and/or pharmacy work Occasional travel in the community at large May participate in community and/or referral presentations Hours not limited to 8:30-5:00Special Physical Demands: Near visual acuity required Measuring and mixing in a confined space Receipt and stocking of products/medications will involve lifting Must be capable of inputting data on a keyboardBenefits Available
