We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Maintenance Superintendent to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production facilities. Your commitment to safety and regulatory compliance and collaboration with the operations team will drive continuous improvement in the maintenance work management process.In this role, you will collaborate with Production to manage the frequency of preventative maintenance and act as a liaison between production and maintenance to improve turnaround time on planned jobs. You will develop and lead the area maintenance strategy as one cohesive organization.Additionally, you will supervise and direct construction projects from conception to completion, working cooperatively with construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors.Your strong supervisory experience will be essential as you coach and hold the team accountable for safety, behavior, performance and quality. Naturally you will provide daily prioritization for the team, including the execution of the planned schedule. You will manage performance, coach, and develop direct reports, and cultivate an atmosphere of engagement and learning within the maintenance team. You will evaluate training and staffing needs on an ongoing basis to ensure appropriate, qualified resourcing that meets business needs.
Required Skills- Bachelor's or associate degree. Journeyman Card holder in one respected field is required (Electrician, Millwright, or Pipefitter).
- Experience:
- Proven significant experience in industrial manufacturing operations.
- Proven significant supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven significant experience with Process Safety Management.
- Proven significant experience with High Voltage, Instrumentation, Control Valves, PLCs, Rigging, and Rotating Equipment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Must pass respirator fit testing and be capable of donning personal protective equipment. Must be able to actively participate in chemical plant emergency response.
