We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro Suite team on the night shift. As a Neuro Suite RN, you will provide specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, ensuring their comfort and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care to patients with neurological conditions, including strokes, TBI, craniotomies, back surgeries, and shunt procedures.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications accurately, including antiseizure, antipsychotic, antihypertensive, and diabetes medications.
- Special Procedures: Assist with chest tube insertions, EVD insertions, and Halo placements.
- Monitoring: Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EPIC charting system.
- Float: Be prepared to float to other units, such as ICU, Surgical Stepdown, or ER, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS and Cardiac certifications
- Experience in a neurology or critical care setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to handle complex patient situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
