JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Manager, the key roles are performing a wide variety of manufacturing operations on cables. Direction only when performing new tasks and willing to train or assist others. Able to train on high level operations based on the needs of the business. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Ability to follow written manufacturing instructions and general manufacturing designs / drawings / diagrams.
  • Computer skills and use of computer programs / software specific to the manufacturing process, tracking and traceability of product.
  • Understands processes and work instructions and can recognize non-conformance or problems in production processes.

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school or equivalent.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • At least 6 months of manufacturing cable experience.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to flex time based on customer needs.
  • Must have scope soldering experience; J-Std preferred but not required.

PHYSICIAL/ENVIRONMENTS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail) and manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements.)
  • Requires limited supervision for routine processes, can implement changes with detailed instruction.
  • Must be available for overtime work.
  • Must be able to stand for periods up to 4 hours.
  • Must be able to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance.
  • Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes and glasses.
