Job DescriptionAbout this job...Nosco is looking for a Window Operator on first shift at our Bridgeview, IL facility. As an employee owner in this position, you will efficiently produce a quality folding carton that requires windowing whether printed or unprinted.In this role, you will...
- Sets up and operates a window machine per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
- Actively monitors production efficiency and quality. Completes all documentation and reporting accurately.
- Troubleshoots machine problems as it pertains to equipment and set up. Performs testing as required and understands what corrective actions could be necessary to achieve passing results.
- Assists in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion through attributing and effectively communicating with customer fulfillment technicians).
- Performs clean-up/maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
- Ability to perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meets expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.
Success factors...
- Preferably +2 years of carton folder/gluer experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
- Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
- Flexibility to work any shift and Overtime. Work in a fast pace environment with ability to deal with change.
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read a ruler to 1/64
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, work at a computer for extended periods of time, and have manual dexterity for computer work; long periods of concentration; speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.
