Job Description :

Job Summary:Under general supervision, this position acts as a subject matter expert forTrailer Technicians. The Senior is responsible for performing complexmaintenance, service, andrepair of J.B. Hunt trailers, containers, chassis andother equipment. Technicians must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, andcomplete all fleet maintenance processes and ensure that units meet J. B. Huntspecifications at all times. This position has the possibility to workoutdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/orweekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

Job Description:

The expected starting pay range for thisposition is between $23.10 - $34.65.

$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR LIMITED TIME!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance,replacement of parts/components, and complex repairs as it pertainstrailer maintenance, air brake systems and FHWA Inspections
  • May troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair specialized trailerequipment such as refrigerated units
  • May onboard and mentor new Tractor Technician trainees; act asteam lead to include beginning or ending shifts
  • Participate in Original Equipment Manufacture training for OErepairs
  • Troubleshoot tractor issues, develop innovative solutions, andwork independently under minimal direction
  • Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
  • Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel andcustomers at all times
  • Complete secondary maintenance on escalated repairs
  • Accurately perform the most difficult repairs to company andmanufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and exceedrequirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age with 3 or more years of experience insemi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of educationand experience, or military equivalent
  • AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities througheducation, certifications, military, or other experiences
  • Must be DOT certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes
  • Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through ourtoolbox purchase program
  • Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
  • Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/orweekends if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3 or more years ofexperience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalentcombination of education and experience, or military equivalent
  • EPA section 608 certification and Refrigeration License
  • Advanced welding skills (MIG and stick)
  • Knowledge of ABS systems
  • Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accuratelyinterpret ideas through various mediums
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient computer skills and/or comfortable working with acomputer, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook,etc.)
  • Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move applianceup to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)

Factors which may affect starting paywithin this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, andother qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligiblefor annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordancewith the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and ineffect from time to time.
