Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure new vehicles are driven and parked in assigned areas according to manufacturer's specifications
- Inspect cars to detect damage and to verify presence of accessories listed on invoice
- Move vehicles from staging areas to shipping bay location
- Ensure yard quality standards are maintained
- Must be able to follow directions and consistently follow procedures
- Must adhere to AAR and safety procedures
- React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Maintain a positive behavior and conduct in the workplace while acting and communicating with customers, vendors, co-workers and management
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in a distribution center environment helpful
- Must have and maintain a valid State driver's license and must have a good driving record
- Ability to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
- Ability to pass the AWC's driver's safety test with an 80% accuracy or better
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Ability to move 40-80 vehicles per day
- Ability to work as a team or individually depending on workload
- Ability to productivity standards after successfully completing training
- Must be a team player and able to work well with others
- Comply with all safety, hazardous material and OSHA training, rules, and reporting, ensuring a safe work environment
- Ability to lift to 75 pounds on a continuous basis for 100% of working hours
- Ability to walk, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, and stoop on a repetitive basis
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to include grasping and holding
