Staffmark is seeking a skilled Operator to join our team in Springfield, OH. If you're detail-oriented and ready to take on a key role in operating our carburizing furnace, we'd love to hear from you!Salary: $37,440 per yearShift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PMAs an Operator, you'll be responsible for managing the carburizing furnace, ensuring that all parts are correctly processed, and documenting any discrepancies, overages, or shortages. Clear communication with off-shift operators is essential to address any issues with the furnace line and ensure smooth operations.Responsibilities:
- Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate with off-shift operators to relay any issues with the furnace line.
- Check Production Control (PC) charts, ensure loads are processed in the correct order, and verify SO numbers.
- Confirm that loads are processed, post-processed (e.g., degreasing, tempering), and set correctly in the furnace.
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate and signed off, enter the furnace recipe correctly, and complete Preventative Maintenance (PM) as required.
- Fill out Hold sheets for non-conforming materials with detailed information and communicate any issues to the incoming operator at shift end.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication.
- Dependable with a solid attendance record.
- High degree of accuracy in all tasks.
- Safe forklift operation skills and a good understanding of equipment.
