This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Summary:The Line Operator is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the packing processing line of J-M Farms Product to meetcompany goals of safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction. A line operator works as part of the supporting team for the LineTechnician. The successful line operator will learn and understand tasks like assembling products into a container, weighing packages,inspecting wrap, checking date codes, stacking cartons, and putting the product onto a conveyor belt to feed the line.Essential Job Functions:This position is responsible for all of the following:Scale Operator - operating the scale in an accurate, efficient mannerCatch - catch wrapped product from the conveyorStacker - puts product on the palletsFeeder supplies product to the line to be processLine Operators must be able to accept directions and follow precisely in order to guarantee customers satisfactionAbility to follow directions and work independently and productively with limited supervision, or as a teamMaintains work area in a clean, safe and efficient mannerPerforms other related duties as requestedFollowing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on the safe handling and proper use of machines and tools used for theoperationsAdherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for food processingAdherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for food processingAccurate completion of daily logs and reports according to the SOPOther Functions:Regular contact with all levels of personnel throughout the organizationFollow all safety policies and proceduresOther tasks assigned by managerProfessionalism, and flexibility in order to provide support for other linesAbility to learn and work under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflowRegular and reliable attendance
