Pioneer Valley Cardiology Associates, based in Springfield, MA, seeks a dynamic problem solver and relationship builder to serve as Executive Director of their world-class cardiology practice. The Executive Director will partner closely with the governing board of this thriving independent practice to set organizational strategy in the light of advantageous alliances with Mercy Medical Center/Trinity Health and Bay State Medical Center. The Executive Director will bring financial and operational sophistication and high regard for the experience of patients and staff to supporting and advancing this healthy and successful specialty practice and identifying synergies with Mercy Medical Center/Trinity Health of New England.
Established in 1971 as a three-person clinic, Pioneer Valley Cardiology Associates today includes 11 distinguished cardiologists, 12 Advanced Practice Providers, and a dedicated team of over 100 support staff who provide care at clinical sites at Mercy Medical Center/Trinity and Bay State Medical Center, and a diagnostic testing facility at Mercy Medical Center. Services include diagnostic testing, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and preventive care.
The ideal candidate will have a record of successful practice management in cardiology or another medical specialty. They should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical and administrative staff, and patients. An understanding of healthcare IT systems and diagnostic testing protocols is desired. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are crucial, enabling effective multitasking and prioritization. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards is also required.
