Who We're Looking For:

We're on the hunt for a Mid-Level Interactive Developer to join our dynamic team. If you have solid technical skills and a passion for developing seamless digital experiences, this role is for you.

As an Interactive Developer at GS&F, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and software solutions that enhance our clients' marketing efforts. You will work alongside a team of skilled developers, designers, and marketers to create effective digital experiences. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Development Projects: Collaborate in the planning, development, and deployment of web applications and software solutions. Delivering a high quality product on time.
  • Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Continuous Learning: Seek-out and introduce cutting edge technologies and methods. Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Prepare for and participate in cross-discipline meetings. Work closely with designers, marketers, and project leads to help ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and marketing campaigns.
  • Code and Design Reviews: Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high standards of quality, performance, and security.
  • Testing and Debugging: Participate in testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.Manage it as well.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Documentation: Write technical documentation for all projects, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team.

You'll likely need the following qualifications and experience to be successful in this role:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: We believe that years of experience is just a number; that said, typically someone in this role has 2-4 years of experience in web development, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or Strapi.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

Communication Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Time management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a marketing agency or digital marketing environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Familiarity of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with C# and .NET 6+
  • Experience working with UX wireframing and prototyping tools (example, Figma)

Given the nature of this role and the client assigned to this position being located in Nashville, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to Nashville, TN, in the near future (first 90 days of employment).
