The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of concrete installation, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety on the job site. - Supervise and manage the daily operations of the concrete crew, ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate and plan concrete pouring, finishing, and installation, including sidewalks, foundations, slabs, and other concrete structures.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to ensure proper placement, alignment, and execution of concrete work.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Collaborate with the project manager and other site supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues or challenges.
- Oversee the preparation of concrete forms, grading, and finishing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Train and mentor crew members, ensuring skill development and adherence to best practices in concrete work.
- Manage material orders and equipment needs, ensuring the availability of resources to meet project deadlines.
- Perform quality checks on finished work, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer and company standards.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete work, with at least 2 year in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Proven expertise in concrete pouring, finishing, formwork, and rebar placement.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and technical drawings.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures and the ability to ensure a safe work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in operating concrete tools and machinery.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
