Job DescriptionThis is not an official description but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform.You could expect the position of a Liquor Manager to include the following:
DUTIES:- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Assist customers with beverage alcohol purchasing decisions
- Maintain profit and loss guidelines
- Conduct samplings and wine tastings in-store
- Establish and maintain rapport with distributor community
- Manage inventory levels and optimize productive inventory
- Effectively work to cross-merchandise with other department heads
- Responsible for product replenishment
- Maintain signage program and Cellar Pack shelf talker and six-pack carrier inventory
- Routine stocking and daily conditioning of the department
TRAINING:- Training will be provided at store level and through external study groups
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:BendingStoopingMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsWorking on feet for entire shift
Additional Requirements - Internal candidates:- Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks.
- Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks.
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
