Job Title: Software EngineerLocation: Warner Robins, GA/Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)Pay Range: $100,000-150,000K + an incredible benefits packageSummary:Our client, operating in the aerospace, defense, and security sector, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in C++ and VxWorks/Green Hills and possess a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance or be able to obtain one.Responsibilities:
- Participate in engineering activities to ensure successful product development and integration.
- Contribute to the development of avionic products, specifically Electronic Warfare Self-Protection Systems.
- Interface with stakeholders, develop requirements, architecture, design, integration, and verification.
- Create or improve plans and procedures, generate and present briefings, and provide leadership in select areas.
Qualifications:Required:
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline and 5 years' experience in systems engineering for avionics or a similar domain OR equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Proficiency in writing requirements.
- Experience testing in a System Integration Laboratory (SIL) setting.
- Systems Thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with MS Office Applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and abroad.
Preferred:
- Certification as an INCOSE CSEP or ESEP.
- Experience developing military avionics.
- Experience with on-aircraft Electronic Warfare and Self-Protection Systems.
- Experience as a Systems Engineering lead.
- Familiarity with IBM Rational-DOORS and JIRA.
Essential Job Tasks and Duties:

- Generate system requirements.
- Manage requirements traceability, compliance, and management.
- Develop system architecture.
- Create system design.
- Perform system integration and verification testing.
- Perform various analyses and trade studies.
- Participate in peer review of work products.
- Support engineering planning.
- Develop engineering documentation.
- Generate and present project/customer briefings.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Contribute to process improvement.
- Gather and report relevant project progress metrics.
- Support customer testing as needed.
- Complete special assignments.
