Our Assisted Living Community is currently seeking a full-time LPN to work as the Assistant Director of Resident Services Tuesday - Saturday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with an eligible sign-on bonus up to $10K. Our ideal candidate will embody the passion and commitment required to deliver the ultimate care for our residents. The Assistant Director of Resident Services at Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences must be innovative, creative, dynamic, and strategic to continue our reputation of providing the gold standard of excellence in assisted living.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Overall responsibility for our Wellness Department. Supervise all personal care services rendered by Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences.Setting individualized service plan goals (with Case Manager) for the residents and assisting them with achieving those goals.Establish policies and procedures and all standards of care for our residents.Coordinate and manage all Assistive Living Aides in the Wellness Department.Review and establish (when necessary) all Department of Health required forms during the admission process.Responsible for personnel in the department with respect to hiring, terminating, counseling, and performance evaluation.Responsible for employee education to ensure staff excellence with respect to policies, procedures, and all standards of care.Apprise family of changes in resident health and behavior.Ensure residents receive all necessary medical services including medication administration, physician services, and any necessary ancillary services.Keep the Administrator informed regarding the department and residents.Supervise daily logs and verify that they are being maintained by all shifts.Develop new initiatives, programs, and cost-effective measures to bring the Community to the next level.Actively participate in the prevention of employee incidents and accidents. Make recommendations to improve the safety of employees and residents.Requirements include:Candidate will be a Licensed Professional Nurse with a current NYS license.Previous leadership experience in geriatric nursing.Current valid NYS LPN license with knowledge of geriatric nursing.Basic First Aid Training required.Adherence to the Department of Health Regulations as they pertain to Assisted Living Facilities.Must have prior supervisory experience.Must possess excellent analytical skills and be detail-oriented.Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, coupled with strong relationship building, and be an effective leader who can motivate and manage staff members.Committed to the well-being of our residents and demonstrates compassion and respect for their concerns.Previous Assisted Living experience is strongly preferred.We offer an excellent salary, dynamic work environment, and a comprehensive benefits package.EOE M/F/D/V#J-18808-Ljbffr
