The ideal candidate will be a detailed-oriented individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping roles, preferably within the construction industry. The ideal candidate is someone who is a go-getter, problem solver and has a can-do attitude. This is a very team oriented group and everyone supports one another. There is also a lot of growth amongst the construction team, as well as within the company. Construction or similar industry experience is preferred. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.2. Manage the preparation and submission of Certificates of Insurance (COI).3. Implement and maintain systems for the collection, analysis, verification, and reporting of financial information.4. Oversee and manage the general ledger.5. Handle accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate financial statements.6. Prepare and manage Request for Proposals (RFPs) for external services.7. Work closely with the finance team to create and analyze financial reports.8. Assist in budget preparation and management.9. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.10. Ensure compliance with all internal processes.11. Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial procedures.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.3. Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, COI, accruals, RFPs.4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.5. Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation.6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks.7. Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.8. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.10. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines.11.
