Job Overview

Responds professionally and courteously to arriving, departing, and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and completes established check-in procedures for arriving guests.
  • Facilitates guest departure (check-out) by following established procedures.
  • Calculates and posts receipts and guest accounts using cash handling methods.
  • Answers inquiries and accepts reservations by communicating hotel rates and using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintains good customer relations by keeping abreast of in-house and area functions.
  • Operates PBX equipment, assisting with calls and scheduling wake-up calls.
  • Controls cash transactions at the front desk.
  • Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Qualifications

    Education/Formal Training: High School diploma or equivalent

    Experience: None required

    Knowledge/Skills:

  • High school level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures.
  • Experience in dealing directly with the public and basic customer service skills.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
  • Ability to use tact and understanding in customer service situations.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands

    Must be able to read written communications and operate office equipment. Mobility is required to assist clients throughout the hotel. The role involves prolonged standing and occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
