We have a full range of O.D. – (up to 96 swing x 37'), and Vertical grinding capacity (80 swing x 70” under rail and 48” stroke) with a crane capacity of 80,000 pounds to handle any coating or metal finishing job you have for us.

Job Details:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality parts and tools from a variety of metals. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects using traditional machining techniques. Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual mills and lathes to produce parts to engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequence of operations, setup requirements, and optimal machining methods.
  • Use a wide range of precision measuring tools to ensure components are machined to the highest standard.
  • Create and modify tooling and fixtures to aid in the production of parts.
  • Perform single point threading operations.
  • Carry out surface finishing operations such as grinding, drilling, and polishing.
  • Maintain the machinery, ensuring it is in good working order, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and organized at all times.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in manual milling and lathe operation.
  • Demonstrable experience in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Extensive knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and their application in the manufacturing process.
  • Proven experience in surface finishing techniques such as grinding and drilling.
  • Proficient in single point threading operations.
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a machinist apprenticeship or trade school is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
