Job Title: Antenna Assembler - 2nd Shift Job Code: 16454 Job Location: North Amityville, NY Job Description: Seeking an individual contributor to provide skilled support on the assembly of electrical-mechanical assemblies. Must be able to work under limited supervision once initial product training has been provided. Must be able to manage individual programs from the time parts are issued to completion of all Assembly operations. Must be able to communication work status and issues to Supervisor in English. Must be able to work from detailed instructions that are provided on computer. Essential Functions:
  • Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature
  • Follows an assembly process as provided from computer based instructions, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts.
  • Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
  • Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
  • Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
  • Performs hand soldering on electronic assemblies for through hole components and all type of cables (i.e. wire, semi-ridge & coax).
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment
  • Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to communication work status and issues to Supervisor in English.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Able to Solder surface mounted components (SMT).
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material.
  • J-STD-001 certification.
  • Uses Microsoft Office programs.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $44,000 - $57,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
