- Complete Technology Transfer activities by performing manufacturing process development for Injectables products to commercial lines.
- Establish formulation processes and product pathways using experimental design.
- Support client calls and prepare essential documentation, including work orders, protocols, and summaries.
- Provide scientific justification and project status updates as required.
Discover Impactful Work
- Support day-to-day technical operations in the Formulation, Filling, and/or Freeze Drying areas of the Steriles plant.
- Engage in technical/scientific process/product/project activities to implement strategic technical solutions.
- Assist in crafting processes and equipment designs for clinical, scale-up, and registration batches, including technology transfer projects.
- Contribute to manufacturing process design and problem-solving within defined procedures, applying technical knowledge directly.
A Day in the Life
- Complete studies, technology transfer, commercial scale-up, and support process validation.
- Represent the organization in internal technical discussions.
- Actively participate in problem-solving and project results for formulations, equipment, and processes.
- Write and revise work orders, forms, reports, memos, and protocols as needed.
- Lead projects with moderate supervision, complete change control actions, and plan technical aspects to meet timelines.
- Support manufacturing operations and resolve CAPAs as a subject matter expert.
- Collect data for statistical analysis and support data interpretation and summary.
Keys to SuccessEducation:
- Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical or related physical science. Bachelors and 3+ years of related experience, or, related Master's degree. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of multifaceted or specialized aspects of relevant subject areas.
- Excellent grasp of scientific methodology and development in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Detailed understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong critical thinking skills.
- Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay current with industry trends.
- Competence in pharmaceutical processes, equipment, instrumentation, and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform ordinary ambulatory skills, move about office locations, and manipulate light to medium weights.
- Dexterity for keyboard use, equipment operation, and reading materials.
- Capacity to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, reach, talk, and hear for prolonged periods.
- Use of safety equipment when necessary, including safety glasses, shoes, lab coat, gloves, apron, and respirator.
