Job Responsibilities:

As a Team Leader, your duties are to supervise a specific department in Piqua Hardware & Rental. You will assist management with the supervision of associates in assigned area by assigning duties to associates; setting goals and providing feedback; training associates on processes and procedures; providing direction and guidance to associates. Team Leaders must delegate, train, and monitor the progress of all associates and all facets of the hardware store. The primary responsibilities of in-store leadership are to oversee sales, daily work flow strategies, ensuring customers receive the highest level of customer service and merchandising products.

Preferred Skills:

• High school diploma / GED
• Previous retail experience
• Knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools
• Knowledge of light construction
• Knowledge of product assembly (Power Equipment, Grills, Patio Furniture, etc)
• Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external publics.
• Ability to maintain concentration with frequent time pressure and interruptions.
• Physically able to regularly lift, move, and carry material generally weighing 0-50 pounds.
• Physically able to reach, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, operate forklifts, and climb ladders.
• Ability to be on your feet for your shift.
• Safety focused
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Shifts:

• Rotating schedule. Monday – Friday from 8a – 4p or 10a – 6p. Two Saturdays a month, those weeks you will be given another day off during the week. Closed on Sundays.
