Job DescriptionPosition Summary This position is located in Williamston, SC in a Tier 1 automotive facility. The Injection molding Machines & Facilities Maintenance Technician performs maintenance activities for Facilities, Engel injection machines and other equipment of the company. Position Responsibilities- Essential Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, Injection molding equipment, compressed air systems, pumps and facilities equipment Repairs or replaces devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, bearings, motors, gear box, etc., as needed Performs work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments on all production and facilities equipment Sets up and operates welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other metal working equipment Conducts predictive maintenance inspections using predictive technologies such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic, oil analysis and thermography Participates in plant safety, health, and environmental programs Develops, prepares, and presents recommendations and reports as requested Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment, align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after all processes Performs preventative maintenance on all injection molding machines per production schedules Ability to be readily on call for emergency machine break downs Available for over time per company needs Knowledge in pneumatics, electrical, welding, wiring diagrams and hydraulics Position Responsibilities- Non-Essential/Other Ability to utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment Able to write detailed repair reports and records activities in the CMMS system Must have good mathematical skills, including basic algebra, to calculate electrical/electronic equations as needed Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts highly preferred Able to stand, walk, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat or kneel, and bend constantly; able to sit, handle/finger, and reach outward frequently Supervising external service contractors and work with vendors to complete tasks as needed Essential Skills and Experience Associates or Bachelor degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in a technical discipline or a related field preferred Minimum of 2 - 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry in place of a degree Good understanding of injection molding processes, raw materials, tooling, assembly operations and quality control Effectively work with MS Office, computers and other communication devices Beneficial Skills and Experience to establish and maintain interpersonal, constructive and cooperative working relationships the drive to work on own initiative with a pro-active strategic approach to challenges Attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication in English (German language skills are considered a plus Benefits:
