Overview:
The Logistics Planning Specialist is responsible for establishing and administrating the Logistics Working group. Supports the Logistics Team by managing all areas of the Inbound/ln-house logistics (transportation, packaging, logistics cost system), hourly staff in the plant, and cost reduction.

Logistics Planning
- Establishes Logistics plans for all areas of the plant-wide logistics procedure, including multiple activities.
- Develop logistics layout (area, stock level, location, logistics flow, feeding method, dock)
- Support to design logistics equipment (Rack, High-rack, unique rack, cart, in-house package, and dolly)
- Managing suppliers' packages (Approval process, Request maintenance, Management of return package)
- Assure that all of the work is performed by a procedure including Loading/unloading, Package waste, OS&D, feeding foolproof, and count inspection.
- Analyze person-hours and input equipment for the logistics plan.
- Develops ongoing strategic analyses across supply chain activities and sets up a contingency plan. Manage and monitor metrics for Monthly, and weekly logistics reports (stock level, logistic cost, downtime, shortage)
- Communication with suppliers about logistics matters (condition, claim, cooperation, etc.)
- Analyze scheduled delivery for window time plan vs. actual arrival time.
- Identify cost and productivity opportunities and manage implementations.
- Check stock level regularly and analyze plan vs. actual data: Cycle counting.
- Maintain stock level accuracy SAP vs. accurate data (location, Parts, Quantity, FIFO date)
- Make sure there are sufficient pans stock levels in the warehouse to feed the production lines.
- Ensures all inventory hold locations are appropriately allocated and visually identified (label, location)
- Audits incoming material by MOBIS procedures for the quantity of material
- Maintain all Logistics equipment and audits such as Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) and Yard Dogs
- Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Qualifications:

Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required.
- Bachelor's degree - Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering/Logistics/SuppIy Chain Management
- 0 to 3 years of experience in Just in Sequence in the Automotive industry preferred.
- Experienced in the automotive industry - Plant start-up desired.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Desired CAD (Computer Aided Design) program experience
Working Conditions:
- Overtime as needed.
- Occasional travel as needed.
