Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a proven track record of managing K-12 and education construction projects. As the on-site leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, ensuring safety, quality, and efficient execution. Your experience working in occupied school environments and coordinating with various stakeholders will be key to the successful delivery of these important projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Lead the day-to-day operations of K-12 and education construction projects, ensuring work is completed according to the project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Scheduling: Develop, manage, and update project schedules, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any construction issues or delays that arise on-site, working collaboratively with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all work meets design specifications, building codes, and quality expectations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and school district representatives, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Site Logistics: Coordinate the delivery of materials, equipment, and resources to the job site, ensuring that the project remains on track.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and site records, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on K-12 and educational facility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on large-scale, complex projects.
  • Experience working in occupied schools and coordinating with district personnel and administrators.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • OSHA certification and strong commitment to job site safety.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and budgets.
