The Yreka Express Employment office is looking to hire a Service Technician for one of our local clients. This is a full time position working 40 hrs per week and OT as needed. Pay is $17.00-$20.00 DOE.
General description of duties to include but not be limited to:
- Installation and repairs on domestic and Ag water systems including plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Performing the necessary paperwork on service calls and jobs in a timely manner
- Responsible for collecting payment at the time of service on the job site
- Fabrication of parts, such as welding
- Testing of wells and water systems as needed
- Maintain equipment and tools as needed
- Responsible for tools on the job site
- Restocking trucks as needed
- Performing follow-up calls and inquires as needed
- Pressing irrigation pipe
- Mechanical maintenance on equipment and vehicles
- Responsible for periodic cleaning and maintenance of office and facilities
- Work and help in the office, such as restocking and helping customers
- Answering the phone as needed
- Learn and understand proper inventory codes and locations. MANDATORY
- Employees will be required to have some of their own tools
Work experience requirements:
General knowledge of tools, welding and mechanical skills
Experience with basic computer skills for Windows Preferred but not required
Experience with dealing with the public and customer relations
MUST have a clean driving record.
Willing to train the right candidate but a mechanical ability would be required.
