Waggles Pet Resort is a state-of-the-art pet resort in Wheeling, Illinois. We seek to enhance the lives of pets and families by offering high-quality dog daycare, lodging, training, and spa services in a fun, professional atmosphere. We are looking for highly motivated pet professionals to join our team and help us redefine the standard for pet care in the Chicago area. The Resort Associate position is the engine that keeps Waggles running in tip-top shape. Resort Associates help move dogs about the building and provide care for them when they are not in playgroup.

Schedule / Location:

• We are hiring for morning and afternoonshifts.
• We currently have available shifts from 6am to 3pm, 7am to 4pm and 8am to 5pm.
• Operating hours are from 6am to10pm.
• Business hours with clients visiting the resort. are Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm, and Saturday-Sunday, 9am to 5pm.
• We prefer candidates to be available one weekend day per week.
• The role is designed to be full-time, but we can explore part-time applications.

Compensation:

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating guest arrival and departure
• Preparing overnight guest suites
• Preparing and delivering food and medication
• Performing daily wellness checks on each guest
• Cleaning lodging areas and other areas of the resort
• Providing individual play sessions for dogs, not in playgroup
• Optional work providing dog transport (Waggles Chaffuer Service), driving company-provided vans
• Optional work bathing dogs in our dedicated spa space
• Assisting with other roles as needed

• Reliability: We always want to maintain a safe staff-to-dog ratio at Waggles Pet Resort. By design, we have 15 dogs to 1 staff member, which is a very safe number for the dog daycare and boarding industry.

This position will require that you monitor and supervise multiple dogs in indoor/outdoor environments. You may encounter the need to traverse steps, wet, slippery, and uneven terrain. You will be required to clean up animal waste. Some animals may require you to pick them up (lifting up to 50lbs.). You may also interact with the general public, and the dogs they may also own.
