The logistics coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics operations within the organization. This role involves ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This full time, onsite position offers a day shift Monday - Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations
- Prepare and process shipping documents, invoices, and other related paperwork
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics policies and procedures and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Prioritize critical action items and orders
- Provide support to other departments as needed, including procurement and customer service
- Handle building, scheduling, and coordination of shipments
Qualifications
- Some higher education or logistics training/certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a logistics environment coordinating shipping products
- Experience as a logistics coordinator is a plus!
- Experience with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Excel systems
- Knowledge of and ability to recommend process improvements and deviations highly desired
